nature and attic

A few days ago, our attic looked like this.
The walls are finished now, but need painting..
It turned out great, 3 extra rooms!
(so it will give me my own craftstudio downstairs)
Coming days/weekends will be filled with cleaning, painting, decorating and moving things.
Lots to do.

This green moss is still in my head, since last Christmas.
We were in Belgium, The Ardennen. During our walkings I saw this great moss.
And want to knit this pattern somehow.
Keep you posted.

Other nature-themed thing: these cute fabric covered buttons.
There will be new old buttons in the shop today.

the Handwerkbeurs is 3 days in town
having a premiere-party in the Schouwburg tomorrow
and selling these beautifull buttons overhere!

we had a little birthday party overhere this weekend
Little "aap" turned 3.

And another birthday party in Antwerpen from a friend.
So we went shopping first!

I discovered Julija's Shop a while ago on the internet and to see the shop live is really superbe!

They sell wool/bamboe/alpaca/mohair and more from La Droguerie.
Buttons, beads, books, patterns, fabric and all in a great atmosphere and a very nice shop.

I'm happy!

They sell also online (via the blog)

And I grabbed a treasury this morning
tender and white

this nice coloured skein is handspun by me

and handdyed by Jon from Easyknits.co.uk

Spinweekend

Last weekend was filled with spinningwheels, wool, sheep (not real ones) and very nice people.
I went to the Landelijke Spingroep weeekend in Elspeet.

150 spinningwheels and spindles
men who are worlds thinnest threadspinners
a show-and-tell with great work,
like these 2 blankets.
The lady has own sheep, spin and knit these (heavy) beauties herself

and almost everybody got a sheepthemed thing with her/him
see the whole collection overhere on my Flickrpage.
Also an overview of all kinds of wheels
(ashford, louet etc.)

I met a lot of people from Ravelry, and its very nice to have faces now with the names.
Had great talks and chats, thanks!

And also thanks for all the comments about the mushrooms in my latest post.
The pattern will be available very soon (for free in NL and E)
